Stephen emerges from hibernation at Alta Lake, BC.

Stephen Vogler is based in Whistler and Vancouver, BC where he makes his living as a writer and musician. He is the author of Only in Whistler: Tales of a Mountain Town (Harbour Publishing, 2009), and Top of the Pass: Whistler and the Sea-to-Sky Country (Harbour, 2007), and has contributed his writing to CBC Radio’s Ideas, DNTO and Outfront programs, and to the Globe and Mail, Explore Magazine, and the Georgia Straight among other publications.

Stephen is also a songwriter and musician who performs both solo and with his bands Some Assembly Required, and The Hounds of Buskerville who have toured throughout western Canada. His styles of music range from ska, reggae and gypsy jazz, to folk, blues and R&B. Stephen hosts a monthly arts showcase called Creative 5 Eclectic, and is the founder of The Point Artist-Run Centre in Whistler.

    awesome book, im originaly from Quebec move out to B.C. about 16 yrs ago love Whislter! Love reading the beginning of whistler. I remember sking with my two brothers and dad in Quecbec and playing chinese downhill. Chasing each other down the hill tuck the whole way! pushing each other over while we were in the tuck position. I love all the stories in the book and recommend it to all readers
